About this part
Cable reels keep the electrical connection to the boom head intact as the boom telescopes, paying out and retracting the multi-core cable under spring tension. The slip ring inside transfers power and signal from the rotating drum to the fixed harness.
Worn slip ring brushes give intermittent boom head signals — a flickering anti-two-block warning is the classic symptom. We supply complete reel assemblies, replacement multi-core cable, slip ring cartridges, springs and mounting brackets.
