About this part
The length and angle sensor is mounted at the boom foot and pays out a stainless steel cable along the boom as it telescopes. A potentiometer or encoder inside the reel converts cable travel into boom length, while an integrated inclinometer reports boom angle to the safe load indicator.
If the SLI shows an implausible radius, refuses to arm, or reads the wrong length after re-reeving, this sensor and its cable are the first place to look. We supply complete reel assemblies, replacement measuring cables, springs, slip rings and connector kits.
Sensors must be re-calibrated against the machine's load chart after fitting.
