Prestolite Electric builds heavy-duty alternators and starter motors for commercial vehicles, construction equipment, generator sets and marine applications — the kind of duty cycle where a passenger-car component would not last a season.
We supply the Prestolite range in both 12 V and 24 V, across the output ratings normally fitted to crane and generator power units, together with the mounting brackets, pulleys, solenoids, brush sets and rectifier packs needed to keep an existing unit in service.
Heavy-duty alternators are specified by output current, voltage, pulley type and mounting arrangement rather than by machine model — send us the details from the unit's label, or a photograph of the mounting, and we will match it exactly.
